Chelsea are reportedly considering whether to launch a summer move to sign Serbia international Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus.

Chelsea are reportedly set to consider a summer move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Despite signing Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku in the summer, Chelsea were linked with forwards throughout the recent transfer window.

However, the winter window ultimately passed by without the Blues making a single signing in what proved to be a relatively quiet market for the Premier League as a whole.

Instead of strengthening their attacking options, Chelsea allowed Armando Broja to join West London neighbours Fulham on loan for the rest of the season.

While it remains to be seen whether Broja has a long-term future at Stamford Bridge, the Blues are expected to bring in a new striker ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.

According to Tutto Juve, Chelsea are considering whether to launch a move for Vlahovic during the summer transfer window.

Chelsea allegedly submitted a bid for the 24-year-old last summer, but their proposal fell below Juventus' asking price.

The Blues would have to pay a significant fee to sign Vlahovic at the end of the season, with the Italian giants believed to be looking for at least £90m.

Mauricio Pochettino's side could also face competition from Spanish club Atletico Madrid, who have been credited with an interest in the Juventus forward.

In a separate report, TuttoMercatoWeb claims that Vlahovic's current deal could prove to be an issue for Juventus.

Vlahovic, who is under contract until June 2026, is set to receive an automatic salary rise from €8m (£6.8m) to €12m (£10.5m) in the summer, but the club are reluctant to pay his increase due to their financial situation.

Instead, the Serie A side are keen to offer an extension on his current deal and include a smaller pay increase with bonuses attached.

Meanwhile, on the pitch, the Serbia international has been in fine form in recent weeks, having scored six goals in his last five Serie A appearances.

In total, Vlahovic has registered 12 goals in 21 league matches for Juventus this season – only Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez has racked up more goals in the Italian top flight.
