Chelsea are reportedly not willing to entertain offers for Levi Colwill, who is currently on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Chelsea are reportedly not prepared to sell Levi Colwill this summer amid interest from Liverpool and Manchester City.

The young defender has risen through the youth ranks at Chelsea, but he is yet to make his debut for the senior side.

Colwill is currently nearing the end of a loan spell at Brighton, where he is helping the South-coast club mount a push for the European places.

The 20-year-old has impressed in his 15 appearances for the Seagulls, which have included 10 games in the Premier League.

A recent report claimed that he has caught the attention of Manchester City and Liverpool with the pair considering a summer move.

There was a belief that Chelsea may be willing to part ways with the youngster as they look to meet Financial Fair Play regulations after spending £600m in the last two transfer windows.

Selling academy graduates like Colwill, Mason Mount, Conor Gallagher, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi would help the club generate pure profit.

However, according to talkSPORT, Chelsea are not willing to entertain offers for Colwill during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The report states that the Stamford Bridge hierarchy view the left-footed central defender as a key player for the future.

As it stands, Colwill will compete with the likes of Thiago Silva, Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile for a place in the Chelsea backline next season.

The centre-back has a contract with the Blues until 2025, but the West London club are reportedly keen to offer him a new deal.

Colwill was ineligible to face his parent club in Brighton's 2-1 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The result left the Blues in 11th position in the Premier League table and kept seventh-placed Brighton in the hunt for European competition.

Colwill will be available for selection when the Seagulls face Manchester United in Sunday's FA Cup semi-final.
