Chelsea boss Antonio Conte: 'We will struggle to sign our transfer targets'

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte says that the club will "have a problem" trying to sign more players before the end of the transfer window.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has claimed that the club will "have a problem" trying to sign more players as the summer transfer window edges closer to shutting.

The club have recruited Michy Batshuayi and N'Golo Kante this season, and have more recently been linked to AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli and Fiorentina full-back Marcos Alonso.

When asked in today's press conference about the Blues' transfer activity, Conte told reporters: "I must be honest, I think we'll have a problem to reach our [transfer] targets.

"I still hope with this transfer market to improve the squad and the team with some new players, but we understand our targets are very difficult to reach.

"But we have a game against Burnley for now which is more important than the transfer market. Then, after that, I hope [that we have] some more players than now before the deadline."

The transfer window will close on August 31.
