Diego Costa has revealed that his desire to sign for Chelsea from Atletico Madrid is down to the West London club's pedigree in world football.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho is confident that the club will seal a reported £32m transfer for the prolific striker this summer.
Costa, who is currently with the Spain squad at the World Cup in Brazil, helped guide Atletico to the Primera Division title last season.
The 25-year-old told Goal.com: "I've wanted to play in the Premier League for a while. Chelsea are one of the greatest clubs of the world, so there are many factors that make you take a decision like this."
Despite reports earlier this month claiming that the Brazilian-born forward had completed a medical, no official confirmation from either club has been made.
