Borussia Dortmund have informed rumoured suitors AC Milan and Chelsea that star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is no longer for sale.
The 28-year-old appeared likely to be on his way out of the Westfalenstadion following links to a number of clubs, namely Milan and Chelsea who had both reportedly made contact.
Dortmund had previously warned any interested sides that Aubameyang, who netted twice against former club Milan in Tuesday morning's International Champions Cup clash in China, would remain at the club if no formal offers were tabled before the end of this week.
After talks between Milan and BVB chiefs in the Far East in the past 24 hours, it has now been decided that the Gabon international will not be sold this summer for any price.
"We have decided that Auba will stay with BVB," sporting director Michael Zorc said. "The transfer window is closed for him."
Aubameyang, also said to be high on the list of targets for Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool, has netted 120 goals in 189 appearances for the German outfit since joining from Saint-Etienne in 2013.
