Fulham are reportedly monitoring AZ Alkmaar striker Vangelis Pavlidis amid links with West London neighbours Chelsea.

Fulham are reportedly interested in signing AZ Alkmaar striker Vangelis Pavlidis.

Marco Silva is seemingly keen to strengthen his forward options despite Raul Jimenez's recent spell of goalscoring form.

Jimenez, who arrived from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer, has scored five goals in his last seven Premier League games after failing to find the net in his first 10 top-flight outings as a Fulham player.

While the Mexican may be enjoying a purple patch in front of goal, Fulham are still searching for a long-term replacement for Aleksandar Mitrovic, who left the club for the Saudi Pro League in the summer transfer window.

There has also been speculation linking Brazilian duo Carlos Vinicius and Rodrigo Muniz with a move away from Craven Cottage.

With the two strikers facing an uncertain future in West London, Fulham are scouring the market for potential reinforcements.

According to the Evening Standard, Fulham are monitoring the situation of Pavilidis, who has been in fine goalscoring form this season.

The Greece international is currently leading the Eredivisie scoring charts after racking up 18 goals in 16 matches.

With 18 months left to run on the forward's current contract, AZ are bracing themselves for bids before the end of the January window.

While Fulham are said to be keeping a close eye on Pavlidis, they may only step up their interest if either Carlos Vinicius or Rodrigo Muniz leave the club.

Should they decide to pursue a potential deal, the Cottagers could face competition from their West London neighbours Chelsea.

The Blues have reportedly sent scouts to watch the 25-year-old in action as they look to bolster Mauricio Pochettino's forward options.

In addition to Chelsea, La Liga champions Barcelona and Italian giants AC Milan have also scouted Pavlidis in recent weeks.
