Fulham reportedly have the chance to sign former Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino, who currently plays in the Saudi Pro League for Al-Ahli.

Fulham have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Al-Ahli forward Roberto Firmino.

The Brazilian completed a move to the Saudi Arabian club in the summer following the end of his eight-year association with Liverpool.

After joining Al-Ahli on a free transfer, Firmino went on to score a hat-trick in his Saudi Pro League debut against Al-Hazem.

However, rather than build upon his early success, he has failed to find the net in his following 18 competitive appearances for the club.

With Firmino struggling to find his best form, there has been a suggestion that he could look to leave Al-Ahli in the January window.

According to talkSPORT, Fulham are one of a number of Premier League sides that have been offered the chance to sign the former Liverpool striker.

Fulham are still searching for a long-term replacement for Aleksandar Mitrovic, who completed his own move to Saudi Arabia in the summer.

Mexico international Raul Jimenez has done his utmost in recent games to fill the void left by Mitrovic, having scored five goals in his last seven Premier League appearances.

Nevertheless, Marco Silva is still determined to bolster his forward options, especially with rumours linking Carlos Vinicius and Rodrigo Muniz with moves away from Craven Cottage.

While it is unclear whether Fulham would seriously consider a move for Firmino, he would certainly add valuable experience to Silva's side.

During his eight-year stint as a Liverpool player, the South American scored 82 goals in 256 Premier League appearances.

As well as lifting the Premier League in 2019-20, the 32-year-old also won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup during his time with the Merseyside club.

In addition to Fulham, fellow Premier League club Sheffield United were believed to be showing an interest in Firmino before the sacking of Paul Heckingbottom.

Al Ettifaq, managed by Firmino's former teammate Steven Gerrard, have also been mooted as a potential destination for the former Brazil international.
