Eden Hazard hints at Chelsea stay

Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard hints that he will still be at the club next season, having been awarded the number 10 shirt.

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has appeared to end speculation over his future by expressing his excitement at wearing the number 10 shirt for the club next season.

Hazard has been strongly linked with a move to French champions Paris Saint-Germain this summer, with manager Laurent Blanc fuelling the speculation recently by expressing his admiration of the Belgian.

However, the 23-year-old has now confirmed that he will be wearing the number 10 at Stamford Bridge next season, and he hopes to emulate other famous exponents of the shirt.

"I am very pleased to be able to wear the number 10 for Chelsea," Hazard told the club's official website.

"It is my favourite number and is one I am used to wearing for the national team, as well as the one worn by some of my heroes from when I was a kid, like Zinedine Zidane.

"I hope it brings me a lot of luck in the future and I look forward to the fans seeing me in it next season."

Hazard, who has worn the number 17 shirt since his move to the club in 2012, replaces Juan Mata as Chelsea's number 10.
