Guus Hiddink unsure if John Terry has a future at Chelsea

Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink says that he is unsure whether John Terry will be offered a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink has claimed that he is in the dark over John Terry's future at Stamford Bridge.

The centre-back will come to the end of his contract in the summer, and has not yet been offered a fresh deal.

The former England captain, who has reiterated numerous times that he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge, has reportedly attracted interest from the Chinese Super League.

Terry may have already played his final game for the Blues as he was sent off in last weekend's 3-2 defeat to Sunderland, meaning that he will miss Chelsea's final two Premier League games of the season against Liverpool and champions Leicester City.

"Whether it would have been the last game that's not up to me," Hiddink told reporters in Tuesday's press conference. "When I make a judgement on how he plays and his fitness on his age, he's able to play, he's able to continue.

"Where? What the near future is is up to the club, it's not for me to make declarations on that."

Terry has made 703 appearances for Chelsea since making his debut in December 1998, and has won four league titles, five FA Cups, a Champions League trophy and the Europa League.
