Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has denied that his club are interested in signing Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare before the January transfer window closes for business.
The 20-year-old has been strongly linked with the Blues since the start of the month, while Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are also believed to be admirers.
Lampard has branded Soumare "a good player" but has insisted that his club will not be making a move for the France Under-21 international before the winter deadline.
"I'm aware of him as a player but he's not on my radar for this window. We played against them (in the Champions League) and I know he's a good player, but that's not one that's on the immediate radar," Lampard told reporters.
Soumare has made 25 appearances for his French club during the 2019-20 campaign, including six outings in the group stages of the Champions League.
Lille boss Christophe Galtier admitted on Friday that the midfielder could leave the club before the end of the month.
