Bayern Munich defender David Alaba has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Liverpool and Chelsea.
After a nine-year spell at the Allianz Arena, Alaba could move to a different club this summer if he fails to extend his contract.
With just 12 months remaining on his existing deal, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with an approach for the 27-year-old.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Liverpool and Chelsea may also enter the race to sign the versatile left-sided player.
With Jurgen Klopp keen on a new centre-back and left-back, the acquisition of Alaba would fulfil his requirements in both roles at a time when clubs are keen to reduce outgoings due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The report suggests that Chelsea may move for Alaba if they fail to agree a deal for Leicester City full-back Ben Chilwell.
