Liverpool are reportedly closing in on securing Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge and Blackpool winger Thomas Ince.

Liverpool are reportedly close to clinching a double swoop for Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge and Blackpool winger Thomas Ince.

The Merseyside outfit have been linked with England international Sturridge for some time, while Ince left Anfield just 18 months ago after failing to agree a new deal at the Premier League outfit.

It is understood that a combined £18m will be spent on the pair in next month's transfer window and negotiations have already reached an advanced stage, according to The Express.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has been open about his desire to bring in more attacking options as Luis Suarez remains the club's only available recognised striker.
