Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has reportedly emerged as a January transfer target for Monaco.
Fabregas is currently in his fifth campaign at Stamford Bridge, but the Spaniard is not a regular start under head coach Maurizio Sarri and has just over six months remaining on his contract.
The Blues appear increasingly unlikely to offer the Spaniard the deal and playing time that he craves, and that has resulted in widespread interest from elsewhere.
According to L'Equipe, Monaco boss Thierry Henry has identified his former Arsenal teammate as a possible addition at the start of 2019.
Henry is keen to bring in experienced players to help the club's efforts to remain in Ligue 1, and the 31-year-old fits the bill for the recently-appointed boss.
AC Milan have also been linked with an approach for the playmaker.
