Chelsea are reportedly keeping an eye on versatile right-sided player Alessandro Florenzi's contract situation at Roma with an eye on making an offer.
The 28-cap Italy international is due to become a free agent in a year's time and has so far stalled on agreeing fresh terms at the Stadio Olimpico.
Amid concerns that the drawn-out negotiations will prove unsuccessful, Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that a move away is now probable.
Should that be the case, it is claimed that Chelsea will rival Juventus and Inter Milan for the 27-year-old, with West London the more likely destination as Roma are reluctant to sell to a direct rival.
Florenzi, who has spent the past 16 years in the Italian capital, is allegedly after £3.5m a year in wages to stay put beyond the end of next season.
