Schalke 04 general manager Horst Heldt has insisted that there has been no contact with Chelsea over the potential transfer of midfielder Julian Draxler.
Reports have claimed that recently reappointed Blues boss Jose Mourinho is considering an approach for the 19-year-old German international, who is regarded as one of the top young talents in Europe.
It is understood that Draxler has a £39m release clause in his contract, and while there has been no enquiries as yet, Heldt is not surprised that several of the continent's biggest clubs are being linked with the playmaker's services.
"I have heard nothing about it," Heldt told Bild. "There has been no official transfer enquiry from Chelsea FC incoming and we are also in no touch with that club actually.
"Still it is a fact there are always clubs considering the qualities of players like Julian Draxler. Of course!"
Draxler scored 10 goals in 30 Bundesliga appearances for Schalke last season.
