Chelsea confirm Mark Schwarzer will join Leicester City

Chelsea says that Mark Schwarzer will join Leicester City, but confirm that Petr Cech will not leave the club this month.

Chelsea have confirmed that goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer is leaving to join Leicester City, but have said that Petr Cech will stay at the club.

Schwarzer joined the Blues in 2013 to provide cover for Cech, but the return of Thibaut Courtois has demoted both keepers.

The Australian will fight for the number one jersey at Leicester with Danish keeper Kasper Schmeichel.

Cech has also been heavily linked with a move away from the club, with Liverpool rumoured to be interested in a move for the 32-year-old in recent weeks.

However, Jose Mourinho has said that there is "no chance" he will be leaving this month.

Schwarzer made four league appearances for Chelsea.
