Tottenham Hotspur 'lining up £40m Wilfried Zaha offer'

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to revive their interest in Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha with a £40m bid this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly lining up a £40m approach for long-term target Wilfried Zaha this summer.

The Crystal Palace winger is understood to have been on Mauricio Pochettino's wishlist for at least the past three transfer windows, with Spurs seeing bids of £12m and £21m rejected in the summer of 2016.

The Daily Mail reports that Tottenham are now ready to significantly increase their valuation of the 25-year-old, although Palace are understood to rate him even more highly than the £40m Spurs are willing to offer.

The Eagles have lost every single league game in which Zaha has not played this season, but climbed back out of the relegation zone upon his return from injury at the weekend courtesy of a 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town.

The Ivory Coast international is expected to leave Palace even if they do avoid the drop, but his contract does not expire until 2022 so Palace are likely to command a hefty fee for his services.

Spurs are still understood to be leading the race for his signature, although they could face competition from London rivals Chelsea.
