Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering an offer for Beijing Guoan centre-back Kim Min-jae.
The 24-year-old, who stands at 6ft 3in, only has a contract with his current club until December, meaning that he is expected to be sold either in January or during this summer's transfer window.
Chelsea are believed to be interested in the South Korea international, but according to The Mirror, Tottenham are determined to beat their rivals to the defender's signature.
The report claims that Spurs are 'weighing up' an offer this month, with head coach Jose Mourinho keen to improve his defence, which has struggled during stages of the season.
Kim, who plays alongside Son Heung-min at international level, has made 57 appearances for Guoan since arriving in January 2019.
Tottenham's 1-1 draw with Fulham on Wednesday night left the club in sixth position in the Premier League table, six points behind leaders Manchester United.
