Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has reportedly made contact with Raheem Sterling's representatives over a possible move to Stamford Bridge.
Sterling has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium after falling down the pecking order at Man City, highlighted by the fact that he started only 23 league games last season.
With the England international set to enter the final year of his contract, Man City do not want Sterling to leave on a free next summer.
A previous report indicated that the 27-year-old is nearing a decision on his future amid links with Chelsea, Barcelona, AC Milan and Real Madrid.
According to talkSPORT, Thomas Tuchel has contacted the player's representatives in a bid to convince Sterling to make the move to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are set to make an offer between £50m and £60m as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the 2022-23 season.
Since joining Man City in 2015, Sterling has scored 131 goals in 339 appearances for the club, helping his side win four league titles, four League Cups and a FA Cup trophy.
