Half-Time Report: Crewe Alexandra in control against Coventry City

Goals from Febian Brandy and George Cooper give Crewe Alexandra a 2-0 half-time lead over Coventry City in their League One match.

Crewe Alexandra are on course for only their second league win of the season after taking a 2-0 lead against Coventry City this afternoon.

George Ray came close to giving the hosts an early lead, but after getting on the end of Matt Tootle's free kick, he lifted an effort over the bar.

Febian Brandy opened the scoring for Crewe in the 26th minute when he was played through by Oliver Turton, before slotting the ball past the keeper.

The hosts doubled their lead six minutes later through George Cooper, who curled a free kick into the top corner.
