Neil Warnock: 'We should have won the game'

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock admits that his side were disappointed not to take all three points from their Premier League match against Stoke City.

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock feels that his side should have taken all three points from their Premier League match against Stoke City.

The Eagles took the lead in the 11th minute through James McArthur, but Peter Crouch levelled for the Potters two minutes later, and despite both teams having good chances to win the game, it ended all square at Selhurst Park.

Warnock told BBC Sport: "It was a war of attrition, they are a very good team but I thought we did reasonably well. Their keeper made a great save from James McArthur and we deserved something, so I cannot fault the lads.

"I thought we slightly edged it and I thought we were disappointed not to get all three points. If we get one or two people in, I think we will be alright.

"None of us are pleased with the pitch, it is a difficulty and we all know we have a problem with it. But it's the same for both teams. It's almost like running on sand at times."

Palace are 16th in the Premier League after 16 matches this season.
