Crystal Palace and Leicester City played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in their Championship clash at Selhurst Park.

Palace started the game strongly and could have been ahead when a Stephen Dobbie free kick was headed towards his own net by Matty James, but Kaspar Schmeichel made a good save.

Leicester dragged their way back into the game but wasted decent openings as Paul Konchesky shot wide of the post and minutes later Andy King lifted an attempt over the bar.

Ian Holloway's side took the lead when Dobbie lifted a free kick into the penalty area and Danny Gabbidon rose highest in the box and headed the ball past Schmeichel.

The visitors got their equaliser within minutes as Konchesky and Lloyd Dyer combined down the left to set up King in the area who fired past Julian Speroni.

After the break, Jeff Schlupp was handed a golden chance to get Leicester's second when a goalmouth scramble rebounded towards him, but he lost composure and fired his effort over the bar.

The visitors were made to rue these missed chances when Dobbie gave Palace the lead as he curled an effort past Schmeichel after he was teed up Aaron Wilbraham.

However, the Foxes were level when Damien Delaney slipped, allowing Chris Wood to nip the ball away and he was able to slot it past Speroni.

Both sides pressed for a winner but neither could find the net and were forced to settle for a point each.
