Crystal Palace 'plotting club-record swoop for Michy Batshuayi'

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew is reportedly ready to shell out a club-record £15m on Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi.

Crystal Palace are reportedly lining up a January bid for Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi.

Eagles boss Alan Pardew is ready to launch a club-record £15m offer for the Belgian, according to The Sun.

Batshuayi, who has scored 19 goals in 41 appearances since joining the French club from Standard Liege last season, has also been linked with Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.

The 22-year-old made his international debut for Belgium earlier this season and has scored twice in two games for his country.

Palace were in Premier League action on Monday evening, holding Everton to a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.
