Pontypridd Town AFC secure friendly against Deportivo

Welsh side Pontypridd Town AFC will face La Liga side Deportivo in a friendly in July, just a year after they were given the opportunity to play Valencia.

Pontypridd Town AFC have been given a second opportunity to travel to Spain to play a pre-season friendly against La Liga opposition.

Last season, Pontypridd, who compete in the third tier of Welsh football, were able to secure a fixture with Spanish giants Valencia thanks to contacts made through player-manager Dominic Broad.

The minnows suffered a 3-0 defeat, but they have announced that they will return to Spain to face Deportivo La Coruna's 'B' team in preparation for the 2015-16 campaign.

The match will take place at the El Mundo del Futbol ground on Wednesday, July 29.
