The Football Association has fined Derby County and Preston North End for failing to control their players in their clash at iPro earlier this month.
Players from both sides were involved in a brawl towards the end of the goalless draw on February 2 after Ben Pearson had fouled Abdoul Camara.
A statement from the FA said: "Derby County and Preston North End have each been fined £7,500 and warned as to their future conduct following their game on February 2, 2016.
"It was alleged that in or around the 76th minute, both clubs failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.
"Both clubs admitted with mitigation the breach of FA Rule E20(a) and their cases were heard by an Independent Regulatory Commission on Monday 15 February 2016."
Pearson and George Thorne both received yellow cards for their parts in the incident but no further on-field disciplinary action was taken.
