Conor Sammon's late strike gave Derby County a 1-0 win over Millwall at Pride Park.
However, due to other scores, the Lions avoided relegation to League One.
Both sides had chances early on, with a fierce Liam Trotter unsuccessful before Jeff Hendrick tried his luck from 20 yards but watched his shot fly just wide.
The Rams came close just short of the the half-hour mark, but Will Hughes's long-range drive went narrowly wide of the far post.
Derby came close again at the end of the first half when Jamie Ward fizzed a freekick towards Andy Keogh, but his header was denied by David Forde.
John Brayford nearly found an opener just after the break, but his shot was stopped by Forde.
Moments later, Jermaine Easter thought that he had given Millwall the lead, but his header was hooked off the line by Paul Coutts.
However, with five minutes left to play Derby took the lead when Ward set up Sammon, who put the Rams in front.
