Billy Sharp scores the opening goal for Doncaster against Middlesbrough after it was announced that his two-day-old son had died at the weekend.

Billy Sharp opened the scoring for Doncaster against Middlesbrough at the Keepmoat tonight after the announcement that his two-year-old son had died at the weekend.

Before kick-off a message was read out to the fans and it was poignant that Sharp would open the scoring.

New Rovers signing El Hadji Diouf set up Sharp, who volleyed home before celebrating by pointing to the sky.

It was originally thought that Sharp would not feature for Donny but he declared himself ready to play.
