Sports Mole looks at when and where a trophy parade would take place if England overcome Spain in Sunday's Euro 2024 final.

Fifty-eight years on from Sir Geoff Hurst's historic hat-trick in the 1966 World Cup final, England once again find themselves just 90 minutes away from ending their prolonged period of misery in senior men's major tournaments.

Gareth Southgate's men have often flattered to deceive throughout their Euro 2024 campaign so far, but one of only three managers to take charge of 100 Three Lions matches has led his nation into their second straight European Championships final.

A free-scoring Spain outfit - many people's favourites - represent the final test that England must pass if they are to follow in the footsteps of their female and Under-21s counterparts, who conquered the continent in 2022 and 2023 respectively.

Whether or not England are victorious at Berlin's Olympiastadion, plans have to be drawn up in advance for a potential trophy parade, where fans will line the streets in their thousands to pay homage to their title-winning heroes.

When will an England Euro 2024 trophy parade take place?

Should Southgate's men defy pre-game expectations and defeat the three-time winners in the German capital, they would enjoy a trophy parade on Tuesday, July 16, according to a report from the Evening Standard.

The parade taking place on Tuesday would give England some time to acclimatise to British shores once again, although a meeting with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer - expected to attend the final in Berlin - at Downing Street would precede a royal reception with the Prince of Wales on Monday.

Where will England's Euro 2024 trophy parade start and finish?

England's open-top bus parade would reportedly commence with a reception at Guildhall, before travelling west, passing St Paul's Cathedral, Trafalgar Square and The Mall, before the Three Lions reach Buckingham Palace.

Did England get a trophy parade in 1966 or 2022?

England's 1966 World Cup triumph memorably saw Sir Bobby Moore presented with the Jules Rimet Trophy by the late Queen Elizabeth II, while magnificent street parties took place across the country, but there was no bus parade.

In addition, the Lionesses were not rewarded for winning the women's Euros with a procession through London two years ago, but Sarina Wiegman's players enjoyed a day of celebration at Trafalgar Square, where thousands of flag-waving supporters joined them for hours of partying.
