England drop six places in rankings

England place 15th in the FIFA world rankings, representing their worst position for five years.

England have fallen six places to 15th spot in the FIFA world rankings, while European and world champions Spain remain on top.

The Three Lions now sit behind Belgium, Greece, Uruguay, Ivory Coast and Bosnia in the list, while Brazil have soared up into ninth following their Confederations Cup glory.

Italy have moved up into sixth, while Colombia have jumped to third best-ranked nation with Germany keeping their spot in second.

Argentina have slipped down into fourth, while the Netherlands have not been moved from their fifth position in the list.

Fifteenth place is the lowest position for England in five years.
