Reading striker Adam Le Fondre has confessed that receiving a call-up to the England squad is a "target" that he has set himself.
The 26-year-old has never represented his country at any level, have risen through the divisions with Stockport County, Rochdale, Rotherham United and the Royals.
However, having scored 10 goals in the Premier League this season, Le Fondre has now turned his attention to progressing onto the international scene.
"It's a long way to go to get called up by England. I've had a great month and I need to keep that up, in the long run I might get there - you never know. It is a target. We all have aspirations and it keeps me working hard," he told the club's official website.
Le Fondre joined Reading in August 2011.
