Jose Mourinho to become England manager in 2016?

Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho reportedly indicates that he would be interested in replacing Roy Hodgson as England manager.

Jose Mourinho has reportedly indicated that he is interested in becoming the new manager of England if Roy Hodgson decides to step down after Euro 2016.

According to the Sunday People, the 52-year-old has told his agent Jorge Mendes to add the top national job to his list of next possible destinations following his axe from Chelsea earlier in the month.

Mourinho has declared that he does not intend to take a sabbatical and will remain in London for the foreseeable future while he looks for a new managerial role.

A move to Manchester United as replacement for the under-fire Louis van Gaal is considered to be his most likely move, although he has also been linked with a return to Real Madrid and a Ligue 1 debut with runaway league leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

Other candidates to take over as England boss include Crystal Palace's Alan Pardew, Sunderland's Sam Allardyce and former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.
