Raheem Sterling has left England's World Cup squad following an armed robbery at his home in Surrey.
The 27-year-old was not included in the matchday squad for the last-16 victory over Senegal due to a family matter.
Further reports claimed that Sterling has travelled back to England after his home was targeted by an armed gang on Saturday night.
According to The Sun, Sterling's fiancee Paige Milian was at home with their two children when robbers stole watches worth £300,000.
Sterling is said to be shaken and concerned for the well-being of his children, and he has returned to the United Kingdom to be with his family.
Commenting on the situation, England boss Gareth Southgate said: "He is dealing with a family matter. I had quite a bit of time with him this morning but I have had to pass that on to other people to help him with that.
"He will go and deal with that matter and we will have to take it from there."
He could rejoin the England squad in Qatar ahead of Saturday's quarter-final with France, but only if the circumstances are right.
