Santi Cazorla criticises Equatorial Guinea

Spain midfielder Santi Cazorla criticises Equatorial Guinea for their "intensity" during their clash on Saturday evening.

Spain midfielder Santi Cazorla has criticised Equatorial Guinea for their "intensity" in the international friendly between the two nations on Saturday.

Cazorla and Juanfran were on the scoresheet for La Roja as they recorded a 2-1 win, but the Arsenal midfielder has admitted that "it was a tough game".

"It was a tough game. It was very intense and the pitch was not in good condition," he told EFE.

"The important thing, though, is that we got the victory, and that will give us confidence. I thought they played with too much intensity.

"It is true that they were playing Spain, but it is a friendly match. I was just happy to play, and if I can help with a goal, even better."

Xabi Alonso was forced off in the first half of the clash following a heavy challenge.
