Pacos de Ferreira move into sixth place with win over visitors Estoril Praia

Goals from Diogo Jota and Bruno Moreira give Pacos de Ferreira a 2-0 victory over visitors Estoril Praia at the Estadio da Mata Real in the Primeira Liga.

Pacos de Ferreira climbed into sixth spot in the Primeira Liga this evening after claiming a 2-0 victory over visitors Estoril Praia at the Estadio da Mata Real.

Estoril might have gone ahead after just 10 minutes had been played, but they were unable to make use of a free kick in a strong position as Fernando sent his effort straight into the wall.

Following a rather lacklustre opening, Bruno Moreira had the chance to give the hosts the lead, only for the striker to see his shot smartly kept out by Pawel Kieszek in the Estoril goal.

The game did eventually see an opener before the break, however, and it came in favour of Ferreira, as Diogo Jota made use of Pele's creative pass to push his side into a 1-0 lead.

Neither team could muster much in front of goal during the second period, but it was Ferreira who made the most of their chances as they added a vital second through Moreira in order to seal three home points.
