Everton will be without Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Alex Iwobi from Boxing Day due to the Africa Cup Of Nations, with the two men potentially missing seven matches.

Everton will be without two players starting from Boxing Day due to the Africa Cup Of Nations.

While the tournament does not begin until January 9, the international squads will be coming together to commence training from December 26.

With the final set for February 6, there is a possibility that Rafael Benitez could be without two of his men for seven matches, which includes the FA Cup and Premier League.

Jean-Philippe Gbamin will be playing for Ivory Coast at the competition, while Alex Iwobi has been selected by Nigeria, and they could miss both fixtures with Newcastle United.

On top of that they might be absent for the FA Cup game against Hull City, as well as league games against Burnley, Brighton & Hove Albion, Norwich City and Aston Villa.

The Toffees are currently 14th in the Premier League, and there are only eight points separating them and the relegation zone.
