Burnley could be without Maxwel Cornet for seven games due to the upcoming Africa Cup Of Nations tournament.
The Clarets winger will be representing Ivory Coast in the competition, and he is set to join up with the rest of his squad from Boxing Day to prepare.
Depending on how far the Elephants progress, Sean Dyche could be without the forward for seven matches, which will include six Premier League games, and an FA Cup third round tie against Huddersfield Town.
In the top flight, Burnley will play Manchester United twice as well as Everton, Leeds United, Leicester City and Arsenal, in what will be a busy period for the club.
The 25-year-old has been a key figure for his team this season, and was recently voted the fans' footballer of the year, although he was unable to play in their last match due to an injury.
So far this season, Cornet has featured nine times for the Clarets, scoring five goals as the club competes for survival in the top flight.
The tournament will still be going ahead at the start of the year, despite some belief amongst Premier League teams that it would be called off due to the rising COVID-19 cases.
