Everton boss Roberto Martinez has revealed that Steven Naismith is likely to miss his side's Europa League clash against Wolfsburg with a hamstring injury.
The Scotland international sustained the problem during his side's 2-1 win over West Ham United on Saturday, when he stretched for the ball in the dying minutes of the match.
Martinez has conceded that Naismith is unlikely to feature against the German side, but is hopeful that the injury is not too serious.
He told reporters: "It was really late in the game and probably a little bit of fatigue in the muscles. Steven overstretched his hamstring and we are going to assess it.
"He looks as though he has a soft-tissue problem, due to the nature of the mechanics of opening the leg so much in such a late moment of the game when muscles can be fatigued.
"We'll assess him. He'll probably miss Thursday but I don't expect him to be out too long."
Goals from Romelu Lukaku and Leon Osman fired the Toffees to victory over Sam Allardyce's side on Saturday and moved them to ninth in the Premier League table.
