Report: Everton's Tom Cleverley to miss up to eight weeks with ankle injury

Everton's Tom Cleverley is reportedly ruled out for up to two months due to ankle ligament damage sustained in his side's goalless draw against Tottenham Hotspur.

Everton midfielder Tom Cleverley could be ruled out for up to two months with an ankle injury, according to reports.

The 26-year-old sustained the injury in his side's 0-0 draw against Tottenham Hotspur when he was tackled by Eric Dier just before half time at White Hart Lane.

There were fears that Cleverley may have broken his ankle, but those concerns have been eased, although the midfielder will still miss up to eight weeks with ligament damage, report several media outlets.

The England international joined the Toffees on a free transfer in the summer.
