Everton 'to confirm Carlo Ancelotti before the weekend'

Everton reportedly intend to confirm the managerial appointment of Carlo Ancelotti before the weekend.

Everton are reportedly on the brink of confirming the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager.

Since the beginning of the week, it has been suggested that the 60-year-old has been identified as Everton's priority candidate to replace Marco Silva.

According to Sky Sports News, negotiations are nearing a successful conclusion as both parties look to seal a deal as soon as possible.

The report claims that the Toffees intend to make an official announcement before the Premier League encounter with Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.

However, Duncan Ferguson is expected to continue in his role as caretaker manager until Ancelotti is presented to the media on Monday.

The former Napoli boss has allegedly agreed terms over a four-and-a-half-year contract.
