Everton's Tim Howard blames goal celebration for dramatic draw with Bournemouth

Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard says that his team's wild goal celebration cost them a dramatic win over Bournemouth on Saturday.

Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard has claimed that his team's goal celebration cost them a late win over Bournemouth in a dramatic Premier League match at the weekend.

The Merseyside outfit had a 2-0 lead heading into the half-time interval at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday, but they were brought back to 2-2 after the break.

In five minutes of added time, Ross Barkley found the back of the net, sparking wild celebrations as some of the travelling supporters invaded the pitch.

However, a few minutes later, Junior Stanislas struck to secure a 3-3 draw and a point for the Cherries.

"Once the celebration went on too long you kind of got the feeling the time would be added on," The Express quotes Howard as saying.

"You want to take time celebrating but you don't want to take too much time. I think it added some time on unfortunately. We just lacked a bit of composure. We cause chaos for other teams but let ourselves down."

Everton are currently ninth in the Premier League table, six points adrift of a Champions League spot.
