Roberto Martinez: 'Graeme Jones won't leave Everton'

Roberto Martinez insists that Graeme Jones will not be leaving his role at Everton to become Swansea City manager.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has insisted that there is no chance of his assistant Graeme Jones leaving the club to become Swansea City manager.

Recent reports have suggested that Jones could be a possible replacement for Michael Laudrup, who was sacked by Swansea earlier this week, but Martinez claims that he will keep hold of his assistant.

"It's nothing new," Martinez told reporters. "Graeme and I have been working together since 2007 and it's good when you get those links because it means people still remember the work that you did at a previous club.

"But Graeme is fully focused at Everton and it's not even a question. The only thing that matters is the results at Everton and there's not going to be any changes in that respect."

Jones worked with Martinez during the Spaniard's time at Swansea.
