Roberto Martinez reveals "disappointment" of kickoff time

Everton manager Roberto Martinez admits that he felt "disappointment" when he saw that his side would be kicking off at midday on Sunday.

Roberto Martinez has admitted that he was disappointed to learn that Everton's Premier League match will kick off at midday this weekend.

The Toffees were in action in the Europa League earlier this week, arriving back in the UK from Russia at 2.30am today following a 1-1 draw with Krasnodar, leaving them less than 72 hours to prepare for a trip to Old Trafford on Sunday.

The manager told the club's website: "The kickoff time is a bit of a disappointment because every hour you can get is a bonus, but we don't see that as an excuse or reason to moan. It's exactly what we wanted, to be involved in Europe and be traveling around.

"We came back late last night, but we've had a great day so far and we're fully focused on facing Manchester United, a team we respect massively as a really good attacking force. In my eyes, they are going to do big things this season."

Everton sit 15th in the table ahead of the match.
