Everton manager Roberto Martinez has insisted that winning trophies should be part of the club's "DNA".
The Merseyside outfit failed to win silverware during David Moyes's 11-year reign, but Martinez is confident that the Premier League outfit can turn things around at Goodison Park.
"Once you win silverware it is an addictive feeling," Martinez told the club's official website. "I do feel that that is something we want to continue here.
"At Everton, with the significance, tradition and history, [winning silverware] needs to be part of our DNA. We all know how difficult it is to win silverware but it is important to start setting those goals as dreams."
Martinez guided Wigan Athletic to FA Cup glory last season before taking the hotseat at Everton.
