Everton manager David Moyes says that he was very impressed with both result and performance following his side's 3-0 win at Swansea City.

Everton manager David Moyes has declared himself very pleased with both result and performance following his side's 3-0 win at Swansea City.

First-half strikes from Victor Anichebe and Kevin Mirallas gave the Toffees a deserved two-goal lead at the break, before Marouane Fellaini wrapped up the points late on after Nathan Dyer had been sent off for the Swans.

"Both the result and performance were very good but the result is the most important thing," said Moyes.

"We could have scored six or seven, but they also had three or four opportunities but our goalkeeper made some good saves."

Everton's opener was surrounded by controversy, as Fellaini appeared to flick the ball to Anichebe using his arm.

Of the incident, Moyes added: "If the referee got it wrong, then he got it wrong. I didn't see it, I would have had to be eagle eyed from where I was."

Everton are currently second in the Premier League table, behind league leaders Chelsea on goal difference.
