A dominant Everton lead Swansea City 2-0 at the interval of their Premier League clash at the Liberty Stadium.
It was the Toffees who started the better and they might have taken the lead when Victor Anichebe met a Leighton Baines free kick after two minutes, but Michel Vorm made a smart save.
The chances continued to fall for the away side as Kevin Mirallas tested Vorm from close range, but the opening goal eventually came after a dominant opening period for Everton.
It was Anichebe who pounced in the box after 22 minutes to fire an effort past Vorm as he scored his second goal in as many games for the club.
Everton continued to come close to a second as the half developed with Marouane Fellaini heading just wide of the target after 30 minutes.
The final 10 minutes of the half belonged to the home side, with Michu and Wayne Routledge both coming close to a leveller.
The second for Everton came just before the break, however, when Mirallas tapped home from close range at the second time of asking.
