Los Angeles Galaxy star Landon Donovan has admitted that he misses Everton and that a third spell at Goodison Park is inevitable.
The 31-year-old playmaker, who scored two goals in 22 appearances for the Toffees in 2010 and 2012, is reportedly close to agreeing another short-term loan move to Merseyside in January.
He told The Mirror: "I would absolutely love to go back - and there's no doubt I will at some point.
"I miss the people. I miss the players a lot, and I miss just the positive energy of the fans walking into the stadium and how much they care about the club."
Donovan could be allowed to stay at Everton until the beginning of March.
