Everton take on Wolves on Sunday.

Everton manager Marco Silva believes it would be in the best interests of those no longer in his first-team plans to leave the club as soon as possible.

Kevin Mirallas has completed a free transfer to Royal Antwerp, but Silva was guarded about the future of Yannick Bolasie, who is being tipped to follow his fellow winger out of Goodison Park.

The Portuguese said: “They know my decisions about our squad. All of them, they know about my decisions, what is my squad, what my plans are for this season.

“It’s important for them to find a solution, we as a club we are trying to help them find a solution.

“It’s important for them to play as much as they can because if they stay here not playing football it’s not the best thing for them.”

Everton bounced back from last week’s 2-0 defeat to Premier League newcomers Aston Villa by coming from behind to beat Lincoln 4-2 in the Carabao Cup second round in midweek.

Silva said: “We knew what our obligation was – to go there and win that football match. It’s an important competition for us.

“It’s an important competition for us. We didn’t start the game like we wanted to and conceded a goal in the first minute but the reaction was good.”

Everton welcome Wolves on Sunday afternoon, with Silva wary of a side that prevailed at Goodison Park last season.

Silva added: “They had a very good season last season, this will be the third season where almost all the players are playing together, they know each other well.

“They’ve kept more or less the same XI with one or two different players. They can start in a different way.

“They a strong team, a solid team, they are really strong in a counter-attack, they will be solid every time, waiting for the right moment in a counter-attack to create problems for us and in set-pieces as well.

“For us to play in our way, we have to be always in a good balance, prepare well in our attacking moments but be ready to lose the ball because in that moment they are really strong.”
