Romelu Lukaku hints at imminent Everton exit

Romelu Lukaku reveals that he is still seriously debating his Everton future, admitting that even talks with the club's new owner will not likely change his decision.

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has suggested that he is hoping to leave Goodison Park this summer in order to join a title-winning side.

The Belgium international has previously hinted that the Toffees' disappointing season, and the subsequent exit of boss Roberto Martinez, had left him questioning his future.

Lukaku, linked heavily with a return to former club Chelsea after three seasons on Merseyside, has now insisted that he will first speak to new Everton owner Farhad Moshiri before making a decision.

"I'm at a point where I have to make a good career choice," he told the Daily Star. "We have a new investor at Everton, and out of courtesy I will listen to what he has to say.

"But I have my own ideas in mind. I want to win titles. I have had a very good season, but it is time for me to write myself a CV. That is why I play football.

"I get that trophy-winning mindset from Chelsea. People in Belgium don't see me playing for Everton, but I am respected in England by fans, managers and experts like Jamie Carragher, Graeme Souness and Thierry Henry."

Lukaku found the net 25 times for Everton last season, building on the 37 goals combined scored in his first two campaigns at the club.
