Everton striker Romelu Lukaku 'to agree transfer before Euro 2016'

Romelu Lukaku's father claims that his son will leave Everton before Euro 2016, and could join Manchester United or Bayern Munich.

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku will join a new club before the start of next month's Euro 2016, according to the Belgian's father.

Roger Lukaku has claimed that Manchester United and Bayern Munich are in the running to secure his son's signature following a two-year spell at Goodison Park.

The striker, who is believed to have a price tag of £65m, hinted earlier in the season that he would consider leaving Everton, and that seems even more likely following the sacking of manager Roberto Martinez.

"Everton are asking around £65m for Rom," Roger Lukaku told Humo. "I think a transfer will be done before the Euros. Romelu will decide his future, but agents have the last word most of the time. I hope and I think Mino Raiola is an honest man.

"Now, with Romelu it will be quickly arranged. Has the transfer been sorted? Almost. I think it will be in place before the European Championship. At the moment I think Manchester United or Bayern Munich are most suitable for him, especially Bayern.

"He won't go to Italy, because they keep it closed at the back, too difficult for an attacker. What is certain, to continue to make progress, he needs to change clubs, but we are mainly engaged in making the right choice."

Lukaku, whose contract at Everton does not expire until 2019, scored 25 goals in the 2015-16 season.
