Mario Gomez has been handed a start by Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Montella for this afternoon's Serie A match against Hellas Verona.

The German has been named as the lone frontman, with Josip Ilicic and Khouma Babacar both dropping to the bench.

Joaquin and Juan Cuadrado will support him in the attack, while Jose Basanta comes in for Alberto Aquilani.
